Question 1: What Does Staging Involve?

Some people think of staging as simply rearranging the furniture or bringing in some nice accessories. But I find it helpful to think of staging in broader terms as the entire process of preparing your home for sale. This process also may include:

-decluttering and depersonalizing;

-professional home cleaning;

-landscaping, and,

-addressing property maintenance items.

The objective is to transform your home from your own personal castle to a place where buyers can see themselves making their own memories and living out their own dreams.

Question 2: What Are the Benefits of Staging?

Benefits may include:

-a faster sales time,

-a higher sales price,

-a stronger appraised value, and,

-a smoother home inspection, because buyers, appraisers, and property inspectors will see a well maintained and organized home.  

 According to a recent study from the National Association of Realtors, 71% of buyers agents said that staging a home made it easier for a buyer to visualize the property as a future home.

Costs will vary based on and the home’s condition, size, and price point.  For example, a single family home with a large yard may require more extensive home preparation than a one bedroom condominium unit.  For this reason, my clients receive a customized home staging plan tailored to their specific home and needs.
